As World Cup warm-ups near, Indian cricketers set foot in Guwahati

India’s cricket team has landed in Guwahati and settled into their hotel rooms, getting ready for the upcoming ODI World Cup. Their first warm-up game is set against England at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, happening on Saturday, September 30.

Following this, the team will play the Netherlands in a second practice match on October 3, this time at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.

Regarding team changes, Axar Patel couldn’t recover from his injury in time for the World Cup. The selectors chose Ravichandran Ashwin to fill his spot in the 15-member team. This decision was announced on September 28, and Ashwin joined the team that traveled to Guwahati.

BCCI posted a video on their X (previously known as Twitter) account to update fans about the team’s arrival in Guwahati.

Team India’s Itinerary for ICC ODI World Cup 2023:

The 2023 ODI World Cup will kick off with 2019 finalists England and New Zealand playing on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

India’s journey in the championship will start on October 8 in Chennai against Australia.
