The SA20 is a new T20 cricket league that will be held in South Africa. The league is set to start on 10 January 2023 and will consist of 33 matches. Six teams will compete in the league, and the inaugural SA20 winner will be decided at the end of the season.

The SA20 team will feature some of the best T20 stars in the world, including recent ICC Men’s T20 World Cup winners Jos Buttler and Sam Curran, as well as white-ball wonders like Rashid Khan, Maheesh Theekshana and Alzarri Joseph.

Faf du Plessis, Kagiso Rabada, and Quinton de Kock are a few of the many South Africa internationals set to line up in SA20 while rising star Tristan Stubbs and the powerful Rilee Rossouw attracted the highest bids.

SA20 Teams

The upcoming SA20 season will include six teams that will play each other twice during the round-robin stage. The two semi-finals and the Final will follow. Some of the most recognizable T20 brands will be part of the debut season, including IPL franchises bringing their familiar names to South Africa, such as:

– Durban’s Super Giants

– Joburg Super Kings

– MI Cape Town

– Paarl Royals

– Pretoria Capitals

– Sunrisers Eastern Cape

The six participating teams have finalized their 17-member squads for the upcoming season. Each team is allowed to field up to four international players in a match, giving plenty of opportunities for homegrown Proteas stars and young local talent to shine while playing alongside the best in the world.
